Manchester City have reportedly joined the long list of clubs interested in signing Benfica defender Nelson Semedo.
The 23-year-old has had a good season with the Primeira Liga holders this season, and his performances have captured the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Portuguese outlet O Jogo today reports that Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the talented right-back and he will press ahead with an approach this summer.
With both Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna approaching the final months of their contracts, Guardiola is likely to move in for a couple of reinforcements with Semedo seemingly topping his shortlist.
Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin has also been linked with a move to the Etihad, but it is highly unlikely that the Gunners would do business with a direct league rival.
Semedo, who has two caps to his name with Portugal national team, has turned out 44 times across all competitions for Benfica this term.
