Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly been offered the chance to Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic following Manchester United’s reluctance to match his valuation.
The Croatia international has been heavily tipped to link up with the Red Devils in recent weeks as they look to shore up their offensive strength ahead of next season.
According to Tutto Sport, United are only willing to offer £26m, which is well short of the Nerazzurri’s asking price of £44m. The fallen Italian giants could lower the fee to around £35m, but United appear to have made a take or leave offer for the winger.
As a result, Perisic’s agent has made contact with Juventus officials as he seeks to find his client a fresh club before the end of the month. The Nerazzurri are currently in the negative with regards to the Financial Fair Play targets, and they are hoping to avoid a possible penalty by offloading Perisic by June 30.
Perisic provided 11 goals and eight assists in the Serie A last term as Inter Milan finished a lowly seventh in the league standings thus missing out on European football.
