Manchester United are on the verge of signing Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and could bring in the 28-year-old Serbia international by the end of the week (ESPN)​, and are also close to signing Radja Nainggolan from Roma (Il Tempo).

Tottenham have competition in their pursuit of Schalke starlet Max Meyer, with a team of scouts from Liverpool watching his every move at the European Under-21 Championship in Poland.
