Ross Barkley could leave Everton this summer
Ross Barkley has not been named in the Everton squad for their pre-season trip to Tanzania, amid reports the England midfielder could leave Goodison Park this summer.
Ronald Koeman selected a 25-man squad that left Liverpool for Dar Es Salaam on Tuesday night, but Barkley was not included.
He is reportedly undergoing treatment for a groin injury, though the timing of his expulsion has fuelled rumours Barkley could leave Everton before the close of the transfer window.
The 23-year-old is into the final year of his contract, and the Toffees could be looking to sell him should no agreement be reached to extend that deal before the end of the summer transfer window.
Summer signings Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane and Davy Klaassen have all travelled to take part in the Toffees’ first pre-season game against Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC.
