Olivier Giroud has revealed he was ‘ashamed’ of his team’s performance in the 4-0 drubbing by Liverpool, but still believes he can win the Premier League with the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger has come uinder intense pressure for the way the team capitualted at Anfield, but the players have also been berated for the paucity of the performnce.
The France striker, who was linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, has conceded his emotions were running high after the match.
He told France-based radio station RMC: “I was ashamed when I left the pitch against Liverpool. We have to change something.
“I have decided to stay. It’s my choice, even if everyone does not understand it.
“I still want to win the Premier League here.”
