Pep Guardiola’s men have stuttered to seven points in three games, while Jurgen Klopp’s charges were devilishly good against Arsenal last time, winning 4-0 at Anfield.

And this crunch clash involving two title challengers looks like it could be a titanic tussle, especially after an international break.

There are doubts over the fitness of Vincent Kompany, who took a knock on international duty, while Raheem Sterling is suspended. Kyle Walker, though, is back after his one-match ban.
