Watford striker Andre Gray has unveiled the artwork he has labelled a “masterpiece” – a montage of images relating to black history tattooed across his back.

Gray’s back is entirely covered by the collection of inkings, which includes portraits of civil rights activist Martin Luther King and musician Bob Marley.

The famous picture of Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston in the ring also features, as does an image of Tommie Smith and John Carlos giving their ‘Black Power’ salute at the 1968 Olympics.

Gray posted a photograph of the tattoo montage on his Twitter page (@AndreGray7) on Thursday, accompanied simply by the words “Master Piece!!”

The 26-year-old joined Watford from Burnley last month for a club-record fee, believed to be worth up to £18.5million.
