Football fans love keeping their eyes peeled for ‘the next big thing’ and spotting stars of the future before anyone else does.

With the 2017-18 season well underway, some impressive youngsters have been making waves throughout Europe. From the world-renowned Kylian Mbappe to the players who were unknown before the start of this campaign, those select few titled ‘wonderkid’ have been hitting the headlines.

But who have been the best youngsters in Europe this season? Using’s stats-based ratings system, talkSPORT take a look at the 20 best performing players aged 21 and under so far in 2017-18.

Players are only included in they play in one of the top five divisions in Europe (English Premier League, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, Spanish LaLiga), while their WhoScored ratings are calculated only on their appearances in league football.
