Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists Arsenal are still in the Premier League title race as the points difference between them means ‘nothing’.
The Citizens have cruised through the early part of the Premier League, and they have racked 28 points from the first 10 games.
The table-toppers currently hold a nine-point advantage over the Gunners, and Guardiola has stressed the need to maintain the club’s blistering form versus the north London giants.
“We are in November. They won the FA Cup last season. The prestige of the club, the Emirates Stadium – of course they are a contender. It is nine points. The difference (between us) is nothing, believe me,” he told reporters, as per Sky Sports News.
Despite the Citizens’ dominance of late, Arsene Wenger will hope to get something out of this afternoon’s clash with the hosts having won just one of the last nine games against them.
Chelsea and Manchester United face each other in late kickoff at Stamford Bridge and a victory for the Gunners will close the gap on one or both of their league competitors.
