Carroll celebrates scoring a double against West Brom in January
West Ham United striker Andy Carroll could be set to make a sensational return in time to help their Premier League survival bid.
The England international has not featured for the Premier League side since the start of January, when he was ruled out with an ankle injury.
The original diagnosis ruled him out for the season, with surgery a possibility.
However, according to Sky Sports News, he could set for a return to the bench as soon as next Monday when Stoke City visit the London Stadium.
In the 29-year-old’s absence, Marko Arnautovic has led the line and has excelled – scoring nine goals and creating four assists in the Premier League this season.
Before his injury, Carroll had been linked with a move across London to Chelsea, before the injury scuppered any chance of a move.
