Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly sanction the sale of Anthony Martial during the summer, if the Frenchman expresses his desire to leave the club.
The 22-year-old has seen limited gametime since Alexis Sanchez‘s arrival in January and he was only an unused substitute during the 2-1 FA Cup semi-final over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
According to The Times, Mourinho won’t stand in the way of the former Monaco man, should he push for a new challenge during this summer’s transfer window.
Martial has experienced his best United season ever with 11 goals and a further 10 assists across all competitions but he has seemingly dropped behind Sanchez and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order for the left-wing role.
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are among the high-profile clubs said to have made contact with his representatives and the latter are deemed favourites to acquire his services.
Manchester United are understood to have paid an overall fee of around £60m to Monaco with incentives added and they are expected to place a similar valuation on Martial’s head this summer.
