In between the two legs of their crucial Champions League semi-final tie against Roma, Liverpool take on Stoke at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday at 12:30.

Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly make some alterations to his starting XI with the second leg on Wednesday in mind but there is still a job to do at home.

Third-placed Liverpool need five points from their last three league games to guarantee Champions League football for the 2018/19 campaign – although four should be enough given their superior goal difference over fifth-placed Chelsea.

A victory would see the Reds take a giant step towards achieving that but they will be wary against the Potters, who will be determined to keep alive their slim hopes of avoiding relegation.

The Merseyside club will be without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Matip for the rest of the season, while Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne have yet to fully recover from their respective knocks.

There’s somewhat of a midfield shortage at Liverpool, so how will Klopp cope with this potential problem?
