Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is reported to have held secret talks with Real Madrid over a possible move to the Bernabeu during the summer.
The Brazil international made a surprise switch to Les Parisiens from Barcelona last summer after the Capital outfit paid up a world-record £198m fee for his signature.
He has since contributed efficiently with 28 goals in 30 appearances for the French champions but his future remains uncertain heading into the summer World Cup.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the Brazilian is said to discussed the possibility of a fresh move during a meeting with Los Blancos’ hierarchy on March 22.
Neymar has missed the last month of action with Paris Saint-Germain following a foot surgery but he is expected to return in time for his national duties at the World Cup.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been a keen follower of Neymar’s talents since the Brazilian’s time with Santos and it is reported that the club could lodge a world-record £227m bid to acquire his services this summer.
